Where to visit Santa in London 2011

Father Christmas has set up his grotto in some wonderful places throughout London with a couple of special places just outside!

Whether you are looking to visit for santa while shopping,or a special festive experience, London has it covered. Here is a list of some of our favourite santa grottos in London this year  - with a few added extras...

Kew Gardens
Father Christmas will be in his twinkling woodland grotto in the Princess of Wales Conservatory. Once in the gardens a visit to Santa is free.
10th – 23rd December

WWT London Wetland Centre
Winter Wonderland Weekend takes place 3rd – 4th December. Not only is Father Christmas ready to meet and greet in his grotto you can see some gorgeuous working husky dogs and children 8 years and under can experience a real sleigh ride!
Christmas wouldn't be the same without a visit to meet Father Christmas. Visit him in his twinkling woodland grotto in the Princess of Wales Conservatory.



Winter Wonderland Hyde Park
In it’s 5th year the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park offers fun for all ages with rides and activities for all the family. Entry to the park is free as well as a visit to Santa in his grotto. Take a little money for rides and shopping!
From 18th November

Santa’s Secret Village
Tucked away amongst the shops and cafe’s of Gabriel’s Wharf next to the river on the South Bank in London you will find Santa’s Secret Village. Shows last 30 minutes and start on December 10th through to December 23rd.

Westfield London and Westfield Stratford
This Christmas is truly going to be special at Westfield London. Westfield's free Grotto is the UK's first to have a 5D film and each child's name and picture will feature in the film, as Elbow the Elf saves Christmas.
From 19th November – 24th December

Museum of London and Museum of London Docklands
Traditional Victorian Christmas Grotto in Sailortown.
From 10th December to 23rd December

ZSL London Zoo
Santa  will be in his Reindeer lodge complete with magical grotto with elves on hand to take pictures and capture the moment.
26th – 27th November
3rd – 4th December
10th – 11th December
17th – 24th December



Canary Wharf
Santa’s Grotto – a spectacular sleigh pulled by two giant reindeer and filled with glittering presents arrives on Saturday 3rd December with Santa in residence every weekend and the final week before Christmas
£1 donation in aid of Richard House Children’s Hospice

Greenwich Christmas Market Grotto
Father Christmas can be found at the Greenwhich Christmas Market from 30th November

The Enchanted Christmas House
The enchanted Christmas House in Islington offers a magical experience with lots of festive activities and a meeting with the elves as well as Santa himself. 

Lapland UK
Not just a meeting with Father Christmas but a whole Christmas experience in this award winning Christmas family. 

Selfridges
Embark on a snowy journey to see Santa, along the way you will be able to interact with the 3D wish fairy, play with snow balls, discover hidden items within the walls and play with the interactive floor. 
19th November until Christmas Eve

Hamleys
Join Santa and his elves for a yummy meal, heaps of fun and if you’ve been good all year a small gift to take home

  1. Christmas just past most people happy. Because when I was in the street when I saw a lot of Santa Claus and Christmas decorations this year is great.
